T Lott Complete Works at Reardon Court Extra Care Home

St Albans-based T Lott Ltd has completed two major projects in London using light steel frame. The construction firm recently completed Reardon Court Extra Care home in Enfield, North London and a new residential development, the Ecole project in Bermondsey.

Opening its doors earlier this year, Reardon Court is a council-led scheme for residents aged 55 or older who want to live independently but may require extra care and support to do so.

The development saw T Lott Ltd construct 70 one and two-bedroom, self-contained accessible flats for rent. The site also features communal facilities and the availability of 24-hour on-site care.

The scope of works included the installation of a Knauf steel framing system, external sheathing board with a Rockwool breather membrane, Knauf Metal stud partition systems and wall linings, suspended plasterboard, lay-in grid mineral wall tile and Ecophon ceiling systems with a tape and jointed finish and soffit insulation.

South of the Thames, T Lott has also completed the construction of a new residential development in Bermondsey. The Ecole Project is the redevelopment of the former Cherry Garden School for Higgins Partnerships. The development offers 56 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and houses across a mixture of tenures set around a central landscaped courtyard, 150 sqm of retail use together with hard and soft landscaping and other associated works.

Speaking of the development, T Lott Ltd said: "We are delighted to announce that we have completed the Ecole project for Higgins Partnerships. We would like to say a big thank you to our workforce, our management team and of course everyone from Higgins Partnerships who made this project possible.

"Our scope of works included the installation of a voestalpine Metsec steel framing system, Glassroc X sheathing board with an EPDM seal, British Gypsum metal stud partition systems and wall linings, suspended plasterboard ceiling systems with a tape and jointed finish and sand and cement screed."

Councillor Stephanie Cryan, Southwark Council Cabinet Member for Council Housing, said: "This varied development will cater to a range of needs and will allow a significant number of local council tenants on our housing register to move into a brand-new home."
