FAA Installations Secures Million Pound Contract on Student Scheme

FFA Installations has secured the contract to install the light steel framing system on a planned 82-bed student accommodation building in York. The scope of FFA Installations work is to install passive fire protection, internal partition walls and ceilings.

Announcing the news on LinkedIn, FFA Installations said: "We are delighted to share the news that following a lengthy tender and VE process, we have been awarded the passive fire protection, steel framing systems, internal partitions and ceilings on this 82-student bed scheme in York for new client Torsion Group.

"We will be providing passive fire protection to the structural hot rolled steel frame using both Promat XW board and Sherwin Williams FX5062 intumescent paint.

"The building perimeter external steel framing systems will be installed using Superior Sections metal with BG Glasroc X sheathing board with the internals consisting of a Speedline / Knauf partition and ceilings specification. Lastly, we will be providing the internal fire stopping and acoustic sealing on the project which is expected to exceed the £1 million mark upon completion."
