A car dealership in Chigwell, East London is to be transformed into a mixed-use development, with a light steel frame at its core.
The development is being undertaken by APC Building Services, with the light steel frame system provided by JPSE and will see 177 High Road converted into 37 new residential apartments with 500 sqm of commercial and retail space. Integration of the existing design will achieve a high-level of sustainability within the main building, with a planned smaller block at the rear of the site also achieving net zero construction.
The project will involve a five-week design phase and an eight-week build programme. Located within metres of Chigwell Station, it is hoped this redevelopment will act as an important gateway and catalyst to the reinvigoration of the high street.
